There's no simple way to get around it than being patient after you see that Firefox is getting a good response. It creates a lot of overhead and it's definitely getting hung up on some logic when the server is being run into the ground. I forgot which file it is, but the catch is that nearly everything goes through a backend web resource page - meaning their code has to process the request for a file, possibly lookup/validate some data, and then send out the appropriate contents. After a particular JavaScript file finally gets downloaded, everything else will load like a waterfall. If it's like last week, the loading will be slow and may look like it's hanging for a minute - you can open up the console to see if you get warnings, which are expected when some CSS files don't load (it's fine). That will abort your successful request & start a new TCP connection. If you're using Firefox and see the grey progress indicator change to blue and spin clockwise, DO NOT HIT REFRESH. I'm not sure if they'll use the honey pot this time to spare the server from bot traffic, but better safe than sorry. Do your best not to look like a dumb script that sends a request every second that they don't get a response. I'd rather actual gamers and programmers get the 3070 Ti than scalpers, miners, and the absolute tools who agree to help that camp during this extreme silicon drought. Yeah, the 3080 Ti is expensive as hell, but at least it's sort of an investment. Why am I giving legitimate advice to 100-post elites without a heaping pile of sarcasm? I've made my peace with not getting a 3070 Ti. I wouldn't wait that long, but you don't want to sabotage a possible good TCP session or look like you're a script/bot effectively attacking the site. Last week, during the start, nearly 4 minutes could pass before receiving a byte from the server. Give it some breathing room between refreshing. ![]() ![]() You guys may end up getting routed to a never-loading honey pot if you make too many refresh requests. ![]() ȍXChase F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 and maybe refresh page.
